Heritage Holiday 2020

This holiday season will be different in many ways, including the absence of our traditional Victorian Christmas. But we’re happy to present new Heritage Holiday events with safe activities that make for a joyous celebration!

Many thanks to our event sponsor, the Port of Long Beach! Port of Long Beach logo

Holiday Lights Cruise

Through January 2

We’re kicking off the holidays with our very first Holiday Lights Cruise, a self-guided tour of eleven historic homes dressed in their holiday best!

You can go straight to the cruise on Google Maps or visit this page for details.

The grand finale of the tour is none other than our very own Bembridge House. This year it is decked out in finery and sparkling lights like you’ve never seen before — it’s truly a sight to behold!

Cookie Sale

Orders through Dec. 16; pickup Dec. 18-20

After the Holiday Lights Tour, you’ll certainly be inspired to bring home your own little piece of holiday cheer to share. What better way than with holiday cookies?

The Willmore Baking Company is whipping up batches of delicious cookies again for us this year. They’re $15 per dozen, and all proceeds support Long Beach Heritage.

We’ll take orders through Wednesday, December 16 and have the orders ready for pickup December 18 – 20.

Anyone in kindergarten through eighth grade can enter. Simply download one of our coloring pages, which feature beautiful illustrations by Mimi Masher of homes on the Holiday Lights Cruise. Have your little artist color and decorate it — the only limit is their imagination!

Garden Boutique Postponed

If you’re a member of Long Beach Heritage, you may have seen a notice about our December 5 Holiday Garden Boutique in your latest newsletter. We’ve had to postpone the boutique due to the COVID-19 surge. But if you’d like to come by the Bembridge House to see the plants and/or crafts for yourself, the volunteer gardeners are there every Thursday (except for the Thursdays of Christmas and New Year’s Eves) from 10am until 2pm. The house is in Willmore City at 953 N. Park Circle Drive, Long Beach, 90813.
